SAO JOAQUIM NATIONAL PARK

The park is within the Atlantic Forest biome. It covers a region of 48,300 hectares (119,000 acres). It had been proven by decree on 6 July 1961, and is particularly administered with the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation.
